Sights to see in Rochester, New York?

Hello
I am an Indian in Rochester on a business assignment and have a couple of weeks in Rochester. Niagra is on top of my ‘must see/do’ things and am working with a couple of friends to set up a 1 day tour to the falls. I have also been to all the games (Red wings, Knighthawks & Amerks) and would like to know what the local sights are that I should not miss. I also have a day in NYC, however none to give me a guided tour. I want to see the Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero, Maddison Square Garden and the NYSE amongst other places. What are the other places of intrest that I should not miss?
Thanks

Go to Schoen Place/Northfield Common in Pittsford to see the Erie Canal and shop. You can ride on a canal boat there.

The George Eastman House is on East Avenue. It’s the mansion George Eastman (the founder of Kodak) lived in, and it is now a museum.

Of course, the Pittsford Wegmans on Monroe Avenue is awe-inspiring. Make sure you go during the day when the specialty departments are open.

High Falls has an interesting history. There is a small museum there giving its history and the history of flour mills in Rochester. It’s off State Street near East Main. Follow the signs.

Ontario Beach Park has a long dock going out onto Lake Ontario. There are good restaurants there and, of course, an Abbott’s for frozen chocolate almond custard. You can see the infamous ferry terminal too. Drive out Lake Avenue to the the lake.

Early Saturday mornings are the best time to go to the historic Public Market near downtown Rochester. It’s like stepping back a century!
